Testimonials

Thank you for the training guide. It consolidates all of your yawara training in an easy-to-use training aid. The website calls this a starter guide to Yawara, and is more than a starter guide as it is comprehensive. All of your videos and self-defense techniques are shown. This is good in my opinion and makes the guide perfect for training at home. It is thorough, covers all that we need to learn how to use a yawara stick. If more explanation is needed then the student can look at resources (videos) found on your site. I also appreciate how you teach to practice techniques. It’s a complete training manual that is a steal.

Hi Joe,
I just wanted to let you know what a pleasure it is reading your training manual. Your manual makes the techniques you teach for the yawara stick not only easy to master but a seamless flow. I particularly like your physical training recommendations for getting into fighting shape. I have made them part of my everyday training. I know quite a few citizens in my area with ccw permits that spend a lot of time training in lethal force and yet little time on less lethal and non lethal training. I think this is a mistake since the justifiable use of lethal force is rare in the area I live in. I have just started training in your system and while pepper sprays and tazers certainly have their place; I’m convinced there are few situations that a good yawara and training can’t handle. Thanks,
— Richard Bolling
