Chin-lock Takedown: In this video we will be using a chin-lock takedown to control a subject and take him or her to the ground. The chin-lock takedown can be used in a professional setting to gain control over a suspect or it can be used in defending oneself from an attack.
Bar Arm Takedown. In this video we will be working on how to take a subject to the ground with a Bar Arm Takedown. We will start with the basic principals and move into how to use the takedown in a real situation. It’s important that when you first start learning this technique, you understand the principal and how the takedown works. After learning the basics, then you can start to explore variations of the takedown. As you know I’m very big on reality-based training and I believe it is important that you ask yourself: How would I apply this in a real situation?
Self-Defense Takedowns: In this video we are going to explore taking a subject’s balance and how to take them to the ground. This is also known as a takedown. In a fight it may become necessary to takedown a person to the ground to gain control of them. Takedowns and control holds are very common in law enforcement actions or when you are tasked with providing protection type services.

If you have followed any of my other training videos you will be very familiar with this movement. We are going to start with the basic jab strike. This is probably the most realistic type of attack with a knife.
